A Modest Proposal Regarding Tax Reform

“Henceforth it will be illegal to game the tax system using offshore tax shelters, fictitious business entities, dark transactions, or any of the many other blatantly sleazy and shady dodges for avoiding taxes. Those who engage in such un-American activities, and those who assist them in doing so, will be punished swiftly and severely.”

Currently it is estimated that $70,000,000,000 in taxes are avoided each year via offshore tax shelters, as revealed by the Panama Papers and the Paradise Papers. It is criminal!
