ABRACADABRA! Oops, No Axions

The ABRACADABRA experiment run by a research team based at MIT revealed the first results of their attempt to observe “axions”, which so far only exist on paper, but could constitute the Dark Matter if they leap off the paper and into the real world.

They will continue the experiment, but someday someone might question why nature relentlessly frowns at the hypothesis of particle dark matter, but smiles at the observational evidence indicating 100s of billions of stellar-mass black holes- a rapidly growing number. LIGO will start up again soon.
