But That Is Not Really Death

The supermassive black hole at the galaxy’s center is still there and it is orbited by a vast collection of dark matter objects, core-collapse black holes, neutron stars, white/dark dwarfs, and the cores of rogue planets.

This is a perfect “seed crystal” for the next round of galaxy formation, which may be delayed for billions of years or more. But one must remember that a Galactic Scale “second” is equivalent to 10 billion of our years. Our time scales are not galactic time scales. And Metagalactic Scale time measures are virtually beyond our human imagination.

In an eternal and infinite self-similar cosmos there is eternal recycling. Nothing is lost or wasted.
