Consider Kansas

The estimable Mr. Brownback was elected Governor on the usual Republican demagoguery of: ‘cut taxes, cut the regulations, free up the markets, and watch Kansas (or insert relevant entity) turn into a huge economic success story with lots of “trickle down” for the common folk’.

Of course, Brownback and his choir of true believers did what they always do: drove the bus into the ditch. Even his Republican state legislative majority turned against him and began to reverse Brownback’s foolishness.

I think we will see a repeat of this scenario on the national scale. Same promises, same hidden agendas, same demagoguery, same result . The final act can’t come soon enough for me and a clear majority of Americans.
