Recent impressive discoveries by the LIGO and EHT research projects add to an ever-growing list of vindications for General Relativity as the most reliable, most complete, and best understood theory we possess.
Instead of doggedly trying to modify General Relativity to conform to various under-preforming models of theoretical physics, we might do well to change our fundamental approach and seek new models that are more in harmony with the principles of General Relativity.
