We now have 212,000+ dead of Covid-19 in America, and still on the order of 1K dying each day. In New Zealand the total death toll is 25 (that’s right 25!). Scaling their population of roughly 5 million to our roughly 350 million means we would have a death total of roughly 1750 deaths instead of 212,000 deaths, if we had followed their example.

New Zealand’s success was helped by being an island nation, but it was mainly excellent leadership that chose to allow the health and science experts chart their careful course at all stages. It was also the excellent leadership of Jacinda Ardern that unified the country to make short-term sacrifices in order to achieve long-term benefits. Note also that countries led by women have done very well indeed compared to us.

Dumpster Fire Don is an incompetent, anti-science, anti-democratic narcissist (not to mention a racist bully and promoter of hate groups). When are the 40% who have gulped down his toxic and highly intoxicating ‘kool aid’ going to realize that their “chosen by God” great savior is something quite different: a false prophet and autocrat from the dark side?
