How long can one keep trotting out the old saw “absence of evidence is not evidence of absence” in the face of decades of negative results. Do we fail for 40 more years and call it good science?

Is it so inconceivable that theoretical physicists could question their religious zeal for particle dark matter that is chronically AWOL?

Is anyone watching the LIGO/VIRGO results of April -June: 14 events and counting? No absence of evidence here!
