Let’s Not Choose The Same Mediocre Answers

Every time there is something in physics that is not understood, i.e., a problem, the hackneyed solution is “new particles/fields”.

Why not emphasize simple answers that conform to well-known and well-tested physics, rather than relying on the “new particles/fields” hail Mary gambit? I mean, how many times has that worked in the past?

Here is a simple explanation for Dark Energy that only requires General Relativity.

Here is an explanation for Dark Matter that only involves observed objects and does not require smoke and mirrors.

If we say we want new ideas, let’s actually consider fundamentally new ideas.
