Rise Up Georgia!

Anyone with eyes and a functioning brain can see what Trumpism and its GOP enablers have done to this country with dereliction of duty when it comes to the pandemic. As Reagan famously asked: ‘Are you better off today than you were four years ago?” The majority of Americans are struggling financially and many are mourning the loss of relatives and friends. Our stature on the world stage has been degraded and our allies ask what is wrong with America. The pandemic has been allowed to rage out of control due to a lack of leadership and the GOP’s general lack of knowledge and trust in science. Environmental problems are also raging out of control because of the same failure to exercise wise leadership.

The January runoff senatorial elections in Georgia have taken on a huge importance. If the GOP candidates are voted in then the GOP can stifle the Biden presidency and stand in the way of a robust return to normalcy and health — physically, economically and environmentally.

The nation is counting on you, Georgians, to do the right thing and put life and country ahead of partisan politics. Please give the Biden administration a fair chance to right the ship of state. Put Ossoff and Warnock in the Senate. Stop McConnell’s stranglehold on progress towards an America that is safe and fair for everybody.
