The excessive use of absolutes is the mark of bias.

You can use this simple tool to evaluate the reasoning skills of the writer and whether he/she fixed ideas, i.e., a dogma that is unchangeable and infallible.

Excessive absolutes are stock and trade for The Flaming Rushbo, Inanity and Soapstone*.

Also diagnostic are anecdotal reasoning, cherry-picking supportive info, ignoring contradicting info, gross over-simplification, innuendo, etc.

  • 20 claps for anyone who can figure out the rationale for the moniker Soapstone.
