The Intuitive Mind

A well-educated person benefits from development of both minds, the intuitive and the rational.

Clearly we need to pay and respect teachers in proper proportion to the very important role they play in society. It is a crime that we throw billions at CEOs and the military, but pay teachers a relatively low salary. Consider what would happen if your favorite professional sport suddenly ruled that all players would be paid minimum cost-of-living salaries.

In terms of the methods of getting excellence in education, our leaders would do well to study education (health care, nutrition, criminal justice, etc.) in other countries. Michael Moore’s satiric “Where To Invade Next” is a real eye-opener in those areas, especially education.

We can do so much better if we learn from others.
