Using the term”socialism” is a fatal mistake. Especially in the USA today. The connotations of the term are horrendously misleading when compared with what rational presidential candidates are envisioning. It also becomes a very powerful psychological weapon against them in the hands of right-wing demagogues.

Re-brand for a better outcome! I have recommended “Democratic Altruism”. This would leave many with a deer-in-the-headlights eyes, but it would give democrats the chance to explain what they really want for America.

Socialism has failed the world over. Only countries with tyrannical authoritarian governments can maintain the charade of a successful socialist country.

Why are democratic candidates playing Russian roulette with the stupid, poorly understood, and highly prejudicial term “socialism”? A dumb play for the “populist” banner that is likely to be suicidal?

Please don’t blow another election because of blindness to realities, fixed ideas and group think..
