Well Aaron, I am not defining time with causality and the same argument in your first paragraph applies when anything at all happens. Because anytime something happens there is movement and movement involves time.

We are not talking about the existence of time in my post, we are talking about the ARROW of time. I would argue that the arrow of time and causality are so intimately interrelated that they are effectively one and the same thing.

In the second paragraph you discuss space, and I would answer your comments with a story (or a response; I forget which) that I posted to Medium with the title “Space-Time Without Matter?” or something close to that. I would welcome your thoughts after you read this previous piece of mine.
