What About LIGO Events?
“ For the first time, we’ve been able to perform a direct test of General Relativity outside of our Solar System and get solid, informative results.’
To the contrary, the LIGO events were “outside the Solar System” and they were outside of our Galaxy. That makes them extragalactic.
The black hole mergers and resulting gravitational waves were impressive tests of General Relativity.
The authors of this research and the media people keep working the “first extragalactic test” angle. Is this technically correct?
